1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements of mobile stations (MS) supporting General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) in 900/1800 MHz TDMA digital cellular mobile telecommunication network in terms of service, function, performance, interface, electromagnetic compatibility and environmental adaptability.
This standard is applicable to mobile stations (MS) supporting General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) and GSM mobile stations not supporting GPRS in 900/1800MHz TDMA digital cellular mobile telecommunication network; the technical requirements other than those related to General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) are applicable to GSM mobile stations that do not support GPRS.

3 Abbreviations
For the purposes of this standard, the following abbreviations apply.
4 General
The logical structure of GPRS network is shown in Figure 1. GPRS system consists of switching subsystem, Base Station Subsystem (BSS) and Mobile Station (MS). GPRS switching subsystem consists of Serving GPRS Support Node (SGSN), Gateway GPRS Support Node (GGSN), Border Gateway (BG), Charging Gateway (CG), MSC/VLR and HLR with GPRS function, etc.
GPRS MS can be grouped into three classes according to its ability to support GPRS service and GSM circuit switched service simultaneously.
Class A: it supports simultaneous attachment, activation, monitoring, invocation and telecommunication services of GPRS service and GSM circuit switched service. Mobile subscribers can simultaneously initiate/receive calls of packet and circuit services according to quality of service (QoS) requirements.
Class B: it supports simultaneous attachment, activation and monitoring of GPRS service and GSM circuit-switched service. However only limited simultaneous calls are supported: GPRS virtual circuit (GPRS activation) is not cleared when calling circuit-switched service and circuit-switched telecommunication, and GPRS virtual circuit is set to "busy or hold" at this time, which does not support simultaneous telecommunication service. Mobile subscribers can initiate/receive calls for packet and circuit services in turn, but not simultaneously. The mobile station automatically selects the appropriate service.
Class C: it only supports the non simultaneous attachment of GPRS service and GSM circuit-switched service. If MS supports GPRS service and GSM circuit-switched service, MS in Class C may select (manually or according to default settings) to initiate/receive GPRS service or GSM circuit-switched service, and the unselected service state is deactivated, i.e., unreachable to subscribers.

4 概 述
GPRS網(wǎng)絡(luò)邏輯結(jié)構(gòu)示意如圖1所示.GPRS系統(tǒng)由交換子系統(tǒng)、基站子系統(tǒng)(BSS) 和移動(dòng)臺(tái) (MS) 組成.GPRS交換子系統(tǒng)由GPRS服務(wù)節(jié)點(diǎn)(SGSN) 、GPRS網(wǎng)關(guān)節(jié)點(diǎn)(GGSN) 、邊界網(wǎng)關(guān) (BG) 、計(jì)
費(fèi)網(wǎng)關(guān) (CG) 以及具有GPRS功能的MSC/VLR、HLR等組成.
GPRS MS根據(jù)其同時(shí)支持GPRS業(yè)務(wù)和GSM電路交換業(yè)務(wù)的能力可劃分為三類。
YD/T 1214-2006
A類: 支持GPRS業(yè)務(wù)和GSM電路交換業(yè)務(wù)的同時(shí)附著、同時(shí)激活、同時(shí)監(jiān)測(cè)、同時(shí)調(diào)用和同時(shí)的通
信業(yè)務(wù).移動(dòng)用戶可以根據(jù)服務(wù)質(zhì)量(QoS) 要求同時(shí)發(fā)起/接受分組和電路業(yè)務(wù)的呼叫.
B類: 支持GPRS業(yè)務(wù)和GSM電路交換業(yè)務(wù)的同時(shí)附著、同時(shí)激活、同時(shí)監(jiān)測(cè)。僅支持有限的同時(shí)調(diào)
用: 在調(diào)用電路交換業(yè)務(wù)和進(jìn)行電路交換通信時(shí)GPRS虛電路(GPRS激活) 不被清除,此時(shí)GPRS虛電路 設(shè)置為"忙或保持",不支持同時(shí)的通信業(yè)務(wù)。移動(dòng)用戶可以依次發(fā)起/接收分組和電路業(yè)務(wù)的呼叫但不 能同時(shí)進(jìn)行。移動(dòng)臺(tái)自動(dòng)選擇適當(dāng)?shù)臉I(yè)務(wù)。
C類: 僅支持GPRS業(yè)務(wù)和GSM電路交換業(yè)務(wù)的非同時(shí)附著。如果MS支持GPRS業(yè)務(wù)和GSM電路交換 業(yè)務(wù),則C類MS可人工選擇或根據(jù)缺省設(shè)置選擇發(fā)起/接受GPRS業(yè)務(wù)或GSM電路交換業(yè)務(wù),沒(méi)有被選擇 的業(yè)務(wù)狀態(tài)為去活,即用戶不可及.

5業(yè)務(wù)與功能要求
5.1概述
本章所涉及的各類GSM電路交換業(yè)務(wù)為MS使用GSM網(wǎng)絡(luò)進(jìn)行接人時(shí)需要支持的業(yè)務(wù)。不同類型的 MS根據(jù)其應(yīng)用場(chǎng)合和應(yīng)用需求支持下面所述各類型業(yè)務(wù)中的一種或多種具體業(yè)務(wù),但應(yīng)至少支持電信業(yè) 務(wù)或承載業(yè)務(wù)中的一種具體業(yè)務(wù).對(duì)于手持式移動(dòng)臺(tái),應(yīng)至少支持電話業(yè)務(wù)、緊急呼叫和基于電路域傳 送的點(diǎn)對(duì)點(diǎn)短消息業(yè)務(wù)這三種電信業(yè)務(wù)及其對(duì)應(yīng)的承載業(yè)務(wù);對(duì)于車載式移動(dòng)臺(tái),應(yīng)至少支持電話業(yè)務(wù), 緊急呼叫這兩種電信業(yè)務(wù)及其對(duì)應(yīng)的承載業(yè)務(wù)。
本章所涉及的各類GPRS分組交換業(yè)務(wù)為MS使用GPRS網(wǎng)絡(luò)進(jìn)行接入時(shí)需要支持的業(yè)務(wù)。不同類型的 MS根據(jù)其應(yīng)用場(chǎng)合和應(yīng)用需求至少支持一種具體業(yè)務(wù)及其對(duì)應(yīng)的承載業(yè)務(wù)。
如果移動(dòng)臺(tái)支持附錄B中未涉及的其他功能,則該功能應(yīng)正常.
