JC/T 2458-2018 Polystyrene granule foamed concrete
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and designation, raw materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, manufacturing and transportation, and product certificates of polystyrene granule foamed concrete.
This standard is applicable to polystyrene granule foamed concrete for thermal insulation of industrial and civil buildings and structures.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

polystyrene granule foamed concrete
foamed concrete containing polystyrene granules (with a volume fraction of ≥ 20%)
3.2
polystyrene granule
primary, reclaimed or recycled expanded polystyrene foamed granules, which are lightweight aggregates with certain granule size and gradation specially used for concrete
4 Classification and designation
4.1 Classification
4.1.1 Classification by dry apparent density
It is classified into A1, A2, A3, A4, A5 and A6 by dry apparent density.
4.1.2 Classification by compressive strength
It is classified into C0.2, C0.5, C1, C1.5, C2 and C3 by compressive strength.
4.1.3 Classification by volume water absorption
It is classified into W5 and W10 by volume water absorption.
4.1.4 Classification by burning performance
It is classified into A and B1 by burning performance grade.
